LumenStack
Observability-as-a-Service

Shining a light
on your metrics.

Know when something's wrong before your customers do — without hiring a full-time engineer to build it. We set up and run the monitoring, dashboards, and alerts that tell your team what broke, where, and why, on mature open-source tools trusted by engineering teams worldwide.

Who it's for

If your business runs on servers, you need to know when they're struggling.

Most teams find out something's wrong the hard way — a customer complaint, a lost sale, a 2am phone call. If any of these sound familiar, this is what we fix.

Software & SaaS teams
"Our customers tell us about outages before we notice."

The app slows down or errors creep in, and the first sign is a support ticket. By then trust has taken a hit, and your developers spend hours guessing where to look.

With LumenStackAlerts fire the moment error rates or response times drift, with the logs one click away, so the fix starts in minutes instead of hours.
E-commerce & online booking
"When the site is slow, we lose sales."

A promotion, a busy weekend, a product launch — the moments that matter most are when your servers are under the most strain, and a slow checkout quietly costs you orders.

With LumenStackYou see load building before it turns into a slowdown, and you know exactly which server or service hit its limit.
Agencies & managed IT providers
"We run servers for our clients, and we can't see them all."

You're responsible for dozens of servers across clients or cloud accounts, and checking on them means logging into each one by hand.

With LumenStackOne place to see every server, filtered by client or environment, so you can answer "is it us?" before your client asks.
Growing teams without a DevOps hire
"We know we need monitoring. Nobody has time to build it."

Your engineers are busy shipping product. Monitoring keeps getting pushed to next quarter, and nobody wants to own it long-term.

With LumenStackWe build it, run it, and keep it up to date. Your team uses the dashboards and responds to the alerts — that's it.
Not sure if you're a fit? That's what the free scope call is for — we'll tell you honestly.
In plain English

Three tools. One picture of your infrastructure.

You don't need to know Grafana from Loki to know why this matters. Here's what each piece actually does — and why together they mean catching problems before your customers do.

◐
Prometheus
The pulse

Checks every server and service every few seconds — CPU, memory, response times, error rates — and remembers the history. It's how you find out something's wrong before a customer emails you about it.

▤
Loki
The paper trail

Every log line, from every service, saved and instantly searchable. When something breaks — "why did checkout fail at 2am?" — Loki lets you query the logs and get the answer in seconds, instead of hours of digging through servers by hand.

▦
Grafana
The screen you look at

Turns the pulse and the paper trail into the dashboards your team actually opens every morning — and the alerts that page someone the moment a threshold gets crossed.

That's the whole stack. You don't need to learn any of it to benefit from it — that's what we're for.
The hard part

Doing this in-house takes months.
Outages won't wait that long.

Whether you hire for it or hand it to your own team, standing up Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana properly is a multi-month distraction. We've already built it — you just tell us what to point it at.

Doing it yourself
Months
until it's actually reliable
  • Evaluating & wiring up Prometheus, Loki, Grafana
  • Learning PromQL & LogQL — the specialized languages behind them — through trial and error
  • Recruiting or reassigning someone to own it
  • Upgrades, cardinality, and on-call — indefinitely, on your team
Blind spots stay blind the whole time.
vs
With LumenStack
Days
until dashboards are live
  • Scope call this week
  • One flat monthly price, no setup fee — confirmed upfront
  • Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana live in under two weeks
  • Request new dashboards or alerts as your infrastructure changes
  • Ongoing patching and upgrades keep your monitoring stack itself ahead of vulnerabilities
The same stretch of time, spent seeing clearly.
See it in action

Not a mockup. This is what ships.

Every screenshot below is pulled straight from our own sandbox — the exact dashboard suite and alerting that deploys into your environment on day one.

LumenStack Grafana fleet overview dashboard showing hosts monitored, CPU, memory, and disk health across client environments
Grafana dashboard list showing LumenStack's pre-built dashboard suite, numbered and tagged
Grafana alert rules list showing LumenStack's provisioned alert rules

One index, the whole fleet behind it. Filter by client, environment, instance, or OS, then jump straight into CPU, memory, disk, or logs — this is the front door, not the whole suite.

A full suite of pre-built dashboards on day one, numbered and tagged, provisioned automatically via Terraform. That's just the starting point — with an active retainer, new dashboards are requested as change requests and shipped the same way: version-controlled as code, never hand-built after delivery.

Every alert rule ships as code. The "Provisioned" badge means nobody can quietly edit or delete a threshold in the UI — covers CPU, memory, disk, monitored-target-down, and log-shipper-down out of the box, with cloud-provider checks such as instance health and CPU credit balance available as opt-in. Every alert is graded critical, high, or low, so a disk filling up escalates as it gets worse and each level can go to a different place.

Services — What you get

Fixed scope. Fixed price. No surprises.

Every engagement includes the same full observability build, at every tier and every size. There's no setup fee — the build is part of your monthly retainer, and pricing scales with how many hosts you run, not a shrinking feature list.

Every engagement includes

  • Full stack deployment — Prometheus (metrics), Loki (logs), Grafana (the dashboards you'll actually use), plus Vector & Telegraf (the agents that collect it all)
  • Built and maintained as Infrastructure-as-Code through LumenStack's deployment pipeline — version-controlled and reproducible, so any component can be rebuilt quickly and consistently
  • Pre-built dashboard suite — fleet health, CPU, memory, disk, network, logs & more
  • Built-in alert rules, graded critical, high, or low, with each level routed to whatever your team uses — Slack, Teams, Google Chat, PagerDuty
  • Managed cloud services, no agents needed — dashboards and alerts for serverless functions, API gateways, managed databases, object storage, sign-in services & event-driven workflows, switched on for the services you actually run
  • Deployed in your own cloud account — the infrastructure and your data are yours, always
  • Secure connectivity, managed for you — an encrypted private network links your agents and monitoring stack, even across cloud accounts, and Grafana sits behind a zero-trust sign-in gate for your team
  • Live walkthrough at go-live — how to read your dashboards, search your logs, and what happens when an alert fires
  • Ongoing monthly support on the tier you choose — no setup fee, no minimum term

No setup fee — the build is included. You pay one flat monthly retainer, billed in advance, set by your support tier and host count. See pricing →

Pricing — Monthly Retainer

One price list, at every size.

Pick a tier based on how fast you need us. Every tier includes up to 25 hosts (servers or Kubernetes nodes); each additional block of 25 hosts adds $400 CAD/mo — the same increment on every tier. What separates the tiers is response time, change-request capacity, and access — not the quality of the work.

How sizing works

Priced by hosts, not cloud accounts

Your price is your tier plus how many hosts we monitor — not how many cloud accounts they're spread across.

  • Counts as a host: each virtual machine (1 VM = 1 host) and each Kubernetes or container-cluster node (1 node = 1 host), no matter how many containers or pods run on it.
  • Doesn't count: serverless containers and functions, and other managed services (e.g. managed databases, object storage, load balancers).

What's covered each month

Support tickets vs. change requests

Support ticketUnlimited · every tier

Something in your existing stack is broken, wrong, or unclear — an alert firing when it shouldn't, a dashboard showing no data, an agent that stopped reporting, or a question about what you're looking at. Open as many as you need; each one gets a response within your tier's ticket response time.

Critical (Diamond): flag a ticket critical when your monitoring is down or you need us during a live production incident — it gets a response in your Diamond chat channel within 1 business hour.

Change requestCapped by tier

A request to add or change something: a new dashboard, a new alert, or a modification to an existing dashboard or alert.

  • SilverUp to 4 / month
  • GoldUp to 8 / month
  • DiamondUnlimited — queued and worked in order

Start target (Gold & Diamond): work on a change request begins within 2 business days of submission. That's when we start, not a completion date — how long a change takes depends on what it is. Silver change requests are worked in the order received.

No overage billing at any tier, and unused change requests don't roll over to the next month. Tuning and maintenance we do proactively never counts against your change requests — the cap applies only to changes you ask for.

Simple terms. No setup fee at any tier or host count. Billed monthly in advance. No minimum term — cancel any time with 60 days' written notice. Your stack and data stay in your account; during the notice period we work with your team to move network and sign-in access over to your own setup. Tier and host count are confirmed at your scope call.

How it works

From blind spots to dashboards, in four steps.

01

Scope call

30 minutes to map your stack and your pain points, and confirm your tier and host count.

02

Scoped access

No standing credentials — we connect using short-lived, scoped logins (OIDC), limited to exactly what deploys and ongoing support need. Never a permanent password sitting in our hands.

03

Build & deploy

Your stack goes live in your cloud account, connected over a private encrypted network we manage and fronted by a zero-trust sign-in for your team. The infrastructure and data are yours.

04

Live & supported

Your dashboards run in your environment. With an active retainer, LumenStack runs what keeps it healthy: the deployment pipeline, the private network between your systems, secure sign-in, upgrades, and patching.
